Are you still shooting on Auto?  This class is for those who have been taking digital photos but want to gain more confidence with their camera. Students will learn the basics of photography. Emphasis will be placed on the “4 pillars” including Exposure, White balance, Framing, and Focus.

Aperture, ISO, and Shutter Speed will be covered.

Students will learn the proper use of stops, metering, and operating modes such as manual, aperture, and shutter priority. Artistic elements such as Bokeh and motion blur will be covered.

Students may take the class without owning a camera, but bringing their own would facilitate following class examples and practice.

Students must be 15 years or older to register.

Taking the "Getting More From Your Digital Camera" class is highly recommended before taking "Basic Photography Studio Lighting" as this class builds on previous lessons.
